The sassy girl.

M83 - Midnight City

No one can deny that Chloë Sevigny is one of the coolest chicks on the planet. It was in 2000 that she really caught my attention style wise after I saw her at the Oscars that year. The Yves Saint Laurent dress she wore was absolutely divine and she looked like a total knock out in it. Since then I've drooled over pretty much everything she's worn but this girl has gotten attention for her style long before that, as proven by the fact that Sassy Magazine (where she was interning as a 17 year old) dedicated a piece to her title"Our intern Chloë has more style in her little finger..." She seems like one of the few Hollywood starlets who truly feels comfortable in everything she's ever worn. The term style icon is thrown around far too easily but in Chloë's case it couldn't be more appropriate. Over the years she's managed to keep her look fresh, and she knows when to play it safe or go a bit wild, never afraid to show a little skin or experiment but doesn't lose her signature style in the process. She rocks tailored suits and mannish loafers while still being able to wow in stunning red carpet ready gowns. That's what I love about her, she's totally unpredictable but always makes it work. Her massive Proenza Schouler collection is also something I'm incredibly envious of, not to mention her completely gorgeous line for Opening Ceremony.

  1. She really is stunning, definitely a style icon! Anyone who is acknowledged as an intern is amazing never mind getting an article written about!

    1. I think for me anyway it goes past the particular pieces she chooses to wear. Fashion and style has always meant something to her right back from when she sewed her own clothes and it's not like she just transformed into what one would consider a "stylish person" once she had access to designers and more funds like a lot of famous people who suddenly blossom into "style icons." She just does what she wants and has never been one to follow a trend for the sake of it. Sassy magazine is hardly Vogue but they acknowledged how much natural style she had at 17. You might not like her style but you gotta at least respect that right? :)
